Editorial Guidelines

SapFlow Journal is dedicated to publishing high-quality research in the field of sap flow studies and related areas. To ensure that our publications maintain the highest standards of academic rigor and integrity, we have established the following editorial guidelines.
1. Scope and Focus
SapFlow Journal welcomes submissions that advance the understanding of sap flow processes, techniques, and applications. Our focus includes, but is not limited to:
- Basic and applied research on sap flow measurement and analysis.
- Innovative techniques and methodologies in sap flow studies.
- Theoretical and experimental studies that contribute to the field.
- Interdisciplinary research related to sap flow and plant physiology.
2. Manuscript Submission
- Submission Process: Manuscripts must be submitted electronically through our online submission system. Authors should ensure that their submission complies with our formatting and submission guidelines.
- Originality: Submissions must be original works that have not been published elsewhere or are under consideration by another journal. Authors should disclose any prior presentations or related publications.
- Plagiarism: All submissions are subject to plagiarism checks. Plagiarism or self-plagiarism will result in immediate rejection.
3. Manuscript Preparation
- Format: Manuscripts should be prepared according to our formatting guidelines, which include specifications for text, figures, tables, and references.
- Structure: Submissions should include a title page, abstract, introduction, methodology, results, discussion, conclusion, acknowledgments, and references. Authors are encouraged to follow the journal’s specific formatting instructions.
- References: Authors should use appropriate and up-to-date references to support their research. References should be cited in the text according to the journal’s citation style.
4. Peer Review Process
- Review Criteria: All submitted manuscripts undergo a peer review process. Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on originality, significance, methodology, clarity, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
- Reviewer Selection: Reviewers are selected based on their expertise and experience in the relevant field. They are expected to provide unbiased and constructive feedback.
5. Ethical Considerations
- Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the interpretation of their research. Reviewers and editors must also declare any conflicts of interest.
- Ethical Approval: Research involving human or animal subjects must have received appropriate ethical approval. Authors should include statements of ethical compliance in their manuscripts.
- Data Integrity: Authors must ensure the accuracy and integrity of their data. Falsification or manipulation of data will result in rejection and possible retraction of the publication.
6. Revision and Resubmission
- Revisions: Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts based on reviewer feedback. Revised manuscripts should address all reviewer comments and be resubmitted for further consideration.
- Resubmission: Authors should not submit the same manuscript to multiple journals concurrently. If a manuscript is rejected, authors may submit a revised version to the same or another journal.
7. Publication Ethics
- Authorship: All individuals who have made significant contributions to the research should be listed as authors. Individuals who did not contribute significantly should not be listed as authors.
- Acknowledgments: Authors should acknowledge any financial support, contributions from non-authors, and any potential conflicts of interest.
